Free Greeting Cards

Back in my element again! This week’s challenge accepted, full on vintage. I love vintage, anyone who knows me knows that.  This week I’ve created another set of free greeting cards for a few challenges I’m entering. These greeting cards are 6 x 6 flat and can be used for any occasion.

These greeting cards are created with several themes in mind. First off vintage. Easy enough. Next up, ribbon and lace. Well what goes better with vintage than ribbon and lace? I can’t think of anything, can you? Next up Autumn flowers. And finally combine all of these card making ideas with a template challenge. Template challenges are fun. They take the guess work out.

Card Making Ideas: How It All Started

I had full intentions of creating a completely traditional card this time. That is until I realized I had no lace. Which seems virtually impossible since I always have lace on hand. In recent years I’ve called myself trying to invoke a minimalist spirit which prompts me to go on all these ridiculous purges. Throwing away things I no longer need until that is I need them again. Ok so no lace. I didn’t feel like running to the store we all know what a distraction craft stores can be. So I thought I’ll scan in some of the paper i want to use and add some digital lace to it. And thats about as far I got.

Reverse Hybrid Card Making

Hybrid cards are projects combine paper or physical products with digital products. And would typically involve printing out some digital files and including them in your physical project. I on the other hand have gone the other way around. And that’s ok too. I took some digital paper and a glittery golden ribbon and scanned it in. Though i planned on adding some lace, printing it and continuing my physical project digiland took over. I ended up completing this card virtually.

Card Making Blog Challenge

For this card making challenge I’ve combined a few themes. Sort of like card makers version of Chopped. Template, vintage, autumn flowers, ribbon and lace are the ingredients. Though this recipe has never been tested i’m pleased with the outcome. As an added bonus I’ve included a Birthday version to include in a birthday challenge.

Pretty Pink Birthday Greeting Card

Here is yet another card I completed for another challenge. Oddly enough I wanted to stretch my shabby chic wings so I entered at The Shabby Tearoom. Looking for inspiration I found these adorable cupcakes and all notions of shabbiness went right out the window! This card is for inspiration only as I didn’t even bother to save the full size version of it. I suppose I could have and you could have inserted your own graphic. Oh well you live and you learn. It’s a little pink for my normal tastes but I like it just the same. It makes an adorable birthday card for a little girl.
